City Celebrates Latin Mass

For the first time in decades, Burlington's bishop celebrated a mass in the catholic church's traditional language Wednesday night.

This revival of the Latin mass came after an apostolic letter from the pope last month, asking bishops worldwide to make this form of the Latin mass available once again.

Hundreds came from all over Vermont to the St. Joseph Co-cathedral, and some said it was like coming home.

Based on the response, the diocese will now decide how often and where this form of the Latin mass will be celebrated.

It could be once a month or once a week at some locations.
